BYU is affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and members of the Church do not smoke or drink alcohol, coffee, or (non-herbal) tea. As a result, smoking is not permitted on campus and the University does not reimburse alcohol expenses. There is coffee at the Hyatt and Starbucks in the Provo Marriott and you are welcome to bring coffee or tea with you. We typically have caffeinated sodas on hand as well. If the absence of coffee or tea throughout the day will be a problem for you, please let me know so that we can make arrangements. We do not want to cause you distress!
